Experience the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and Lake District. To explore the great outdoors and create wonderful memories with friends, working with each other to take part in exhilarating activities in challenging circumstances.
Our Adventure weekends kicks off on a Thursday afternoon immediately after the conclusion of the sports courses until the Monday morning. This means that you can attend the Adventure Weekend course as a one off or bolt it on to a Monday to Thursday course extending your stay to 7 or 10 nights. Adventure Weekend on its own. Adventure Weekend + 1 or 2 traditional mid-week courses.
As well as our own pastoral staff the children will be supported by a team of highly experienced and qualified instructors.
The Weekend offers the opportunity to make new friends whilst exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, where you will have two full days of Canoeing, caving, rock climbing and abseiling, orienteering and other outdoor activities. Then try gorge scrambling and get the chance to enact an emergency scenario. Resilience, team building & teaming, leadership and delegation, communication, bushcraft, mountain safety and basic first aid will be amongst the themes and learning objectives for the weekend
