COURSE DATES 30 JULY-2 AUGUST
FOR U15 & U16 RUGBY PLAYERS
FULLY RESIDENTIAL – £459
We are absolutely delighted to welcome one of the games most decorated players and coaches of this generation, Bryan Redpath to lead the Elite 16s summer rugby programme. The Elite 16s programme is specifically designed to provide an opportunity for all players to engage with a form of training they may not yet have necessarily experienced and prepare them for 6th form rugby and beyond. As well as on field training, players will be able to seek advice regarding sport psychology, nutrition, analysis, goal setting and the hidden extras that are required in the journey of becoming the best possible version of themselves.
This really is a unique opportunity for any young aspiring rugby player to develop their all round game at a pivotal stage in their personal development. Bryan Redpath has recently been appointed Head Coach of Scotland under 20s and we believe there is no better person to inspire and develop your ambitious under 16 rugby players.
Having been a constant supporter of Sedbergh rugby club over the last two seasons, I am delighted that I will get an opportunity to contribute to their Elite 16s summer programme. What underpins all of my coaching philosophy is confidence and enjoyment. The definition of a successful programme for attendees would be when they leave Sedbergh, they leave inspired to keep challenging themselves in every aspect of life and of course on the rugby field.
As a player Bryan achieved 60 caps for Scotland, attending 3 World Cups, representing Melrose RFC, Narbonne and Sale Sharks on the way. Bryans desire as a player to be the best he could be, strong leadership skills and meticulous preparation gave him a natural route in to coaching once he retired from his playing career. The hugely successful Gloucester Rugby Club was Bryans first appointment quickly being promoted to Director of Rugby before being snapped up by the very ambitious Sale Sharks. After a break from professional sport Bryan has just taken on the role of Head Coach to the Scotland Under 20s team who will be competing for the World Cup in France in June.
Bryan has a vast amount of experience from every level of the game and this is a phenomenal opportunity for your son to take part in a course which will no doubt inspire them through their rugby journey.
